Privacy policy

This policy explains how Product Pen handles personal information when you create an account or use the product-content service.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, the product information you submit, generated content, service usage records and technical information needed to keep the service secure and reliable. If you consent to analytics, we also receive information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, and referral source. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, not as readable text.

How we use it

We use account and service information to perform our contract with you by providing and securing Product Pen, generating and saving content, and administering allowances and subscriptions. We also use information where necessary for legitimate interests such as support, service security and preventing misuse, and where required to comply with legal obligations. We use Google Analytics only with your consent; you may withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings.

Service providers and international transfers

Product information is sent to OpenAI to generate content. Paddle processes purchases, subscriptions, taxes and payment information. Google processes analytics information only when you have consented. Hosting and database providers may process information solely to operate the service. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom; where required, appropriate legal safeguards are used. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

Account and generated-content records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for support, fraud prevention, accounting or legal obligations. You may ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain.

Cookies and analytics

Product Pen uses essential cookies for sign-in, security and recording your privacy preferences. With your consent, Google Analytics sets optional cookies that help us understand site usage. Analytics is not loaded until you accept it. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time without affecting essential site functions. See our cookie policy or select Cookie settings in the footer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
